The Coffee & Beverage Presence Assistant Marketing Manager (AMM) is responsible for helping the Marketing Manager maximize the Availability, Visibility and Accessibility of Coffee & Beverage products throughout Canada, as well as support the development and execution of all in-store programs. The AMM is accountable in the development and execution of marketing plan activities that deliver maximum impact to our customers and our shoppers through in-store initiatives while maximizing the Supply Chain & Logistic efficiencies of the tools developed. The Assistant Marketing Manager will be leading specific projects and at times assisting the Marketing Manager on other projects.
Major Responsibilities
- Support on planning of the Nestlé Canada’s Coffee & Beverage merchandising & in store presence strategy for the core and seasonal businesses.
- Assist in building best in class merchandising solutions via working with display vendors in association with Nestle Purchasing department.
- Complete regular performance analysis using all available research (AC Nielsen scan data, shipment data, etc.), as well as competitive analysis.
- Provide fact-based analytical information to support consumer and customer initiatives and to drive portfolio profitability and growth.
- Lead planning and execution of the AVA and POS portfolio for the divisional & Seasonal (Fall, Holiday, Summer) marketing programs and campaigns.
- Project lead for the development of preloaded displays - liaise with internal and external stakeholders including Customer Development, Technical Packaging Team, Supply/Demand, Finance and external agencies and display partners
- Lead liaison with Retail Sales to ensure best in class communication, management and deployment of the POS tools
- Manage Archway distribution center and lead the planning and communication of display tools/programs with Retails Sales Operations team and lead Archway LEAN project to optimize investment.
- Build and maintain knowledge base/catalogue of merchandising initiatives – retailer, competitive as well as trends in the marketplace.
- Encourage communication and links interdepartmentally as well as across divisions where applicable.
- Participate in management of divisional operational calendar and Integrated Commercial Planning process (ICP) and presentation.
- Perform administrative responsibilities associated with brand portfolio (e.g. PIN forms).
- Responsible for budget management.
- University degree in a business-related discipline preferred.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of marketing, sales and/or supply chain experience required. CPG experience is strongly preferred.
- Excellent project management skills including strong ability to multitask and manage short timelines.
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to leverage Nestlé processes, resources and environment.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
- A passion for Retail, Supply Chain & Logistics and Brand Management
- Creativity both in strategic development and execution.
- A basic understanding of display design and structure.
- Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and other MS applications.
