IT ensures the stability and performance of a Local/Wide Area Network, which supports over 1,200 gaming locations and more than 2,000 computers/tablets, 150 physical and 2,000 virtual servers distributed across six corporate offices, casinos, RECs and bingo halls. IT provides leadership in the use of information technology, data and systems to help the AGLC achieve business goals and objectives.

JOB SUMMARY


**This is a 6-month temporary assignment that will end on before May 10, 2024**

AGLC is looking for a highly organized individual with a great eye for detail to join the Asset Management team.

Reporting to the Supervisor, IT Assets, the Asset Administrator is primarily responsible for IT inventory and related administrative duties required by the Information Technology division. This includes inventory control for all AGLC assets, semi-annual physical inventory, preparing & processing obsolete IT inventory for surplus, and assisting with annual refresh of IT Assets.

Areas of responsibilities include but not limited to are:


Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory of all IT hardware as per Asset Management Process and Procedures.
  • Verify hardware counts and serial numbers against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Assist with the annual refresh of equipment, including forecast planning and coordination of assets.
  • Purchase hardware as required.
  • Move pallets and other equipment between storage cage and asset room, lift and stack boxes, unpack pallets and boxes.


Incident Management:

  • Handle MSM tickets and emails in a timely manner.
  • Request MSM asset database updates in accordance with the deployment and receiving of assets.


Surplus Management:

  • Verify equipment to determine if it is end of life or damaged.
  • Prepare and process obsolete equipment for surplus, verifying hard drive/memory data is destroyed or removed if applicable.


You are also required to lift at least 50lbs. You are also required to move items using a pallet jack that can weigh up to 500lbs or more.


To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to multitask with a great attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills are a necessity. The ability to work independently, with little supervision and the initiative to identify and implement improvements in processes and procedures is also required.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school Diploma
  • 2 years’ experience with asset management or related.
