Position Title: Apprentice Pipefitter

Location: Kerrobert, SK with subsistence provided on 14/7 rotation.

Position Summary

League Projects is currently looking for an experienced Apprentice Pipefitter to join our team and complete a 2-month project in Kerrobert, SK.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
• Receives instructions, drawings, and work orders from supervision
• Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of pipefitting and trade techniques, properties of various materials, and principles of applications of equipment and materials paying attention to close tolerances
• Ability to read, interpret and determine information from drawings and specification
• Sets up and operates bending, threading, cut-off and oxyacetylene burning equipment, and uses hand tools of the trade, to shape and fabricate piping
• Ability to measure accurately, layout work, cut, bevel, thread, and fit pip
• Aids in the installation of seals, all types of joints, installs gaskets, packing and pipe supports, tests joints for leaks, and applies various insulating materials and pipe covering
• Inspects, installs, dismantles, repairs, and maintains various types of piping
• Sets up pipe for welded or special type joints
• Lockout and isolates equipment, taking necessary safety precautions
• Keeps working area, tools, and equipment in clean and orderly condition
• Records and submits data relevant to job duties. Maintains logbooks as required by legislation and policy. Reports irregularities to supervisor
• Responsible for active participation in and compliance with occupational health and safety, quality, environment, compulsory trade policies and procedures
• Knowledge of the functional operation and purpose of the various piping system components
  

Work Conditions

• Must be flexible working an adjusted shift schedule if required
• Extensive travel required to various project locations
• Work will be outdoors in various weather conditions
  

Qualifications

• Registered with the appropriate apprenticeship board as an Apprentice Pipefitter
• 2 years experience required
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Valid safety tickets; Standard First Aid, H2S, Fall Arrest
• Valid drivers license is required
