Job Summary:

Summit Air is currently hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in Halifax, NS! This a great opprotunity for an AME looking for a part-time casual position close to home! We are looking for a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with at least one year of experience working with larger aircraft and endorsed on either BAE 146 or RJ85/100. Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance on fleet aircraft or aircraft components in accordance with the applicable standards of airworthiness
• Troubleshoot faulty systems
• Track and plan maintenance activities and coordinate with Dispatch as required
• Maintain spares package through communication with stores department
• Maintain aircraft records using computerized maintenance tracking system
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all required paperwork
• May perform other related duties as assigned
  

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of licensed AME experience, preferably working with larger aircraft
• Possess Transport Canada AME License M1/M2
• Endorsement on BAE 146 or RJ85/BAe146 aircraft would be an asset
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong computer skills
• Proven observational, decision-making and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven leadership skills
