Organizational Context and Background

Our long-term vision is that KPMG’s Office of the Partner (OTP) will encompass end-to-end talent management and supports for our partnership through the lifecycle of their careers - including leadership identification, entry into partnership, development, financial planning and support, physical and mental health and wellness, succession, through to retirement needs.

Role Summary

The Advisor, Partner Matters serves as a trusted advisor to active and alumni partners and to the business in assisting partners through their life as a partner at KPMG. Through an understanding of the business needs and KPMG processes and systems, this role manages service delivery, mitigates issues and brings solutions, which involve executing and/or effectively delegating work. They operate with a large degree of autonomy to deliver high quality work that meets established goals. This role involves handling highly sensitive and confidential information, requiring a high level of discretion.

What You Will Do
  • Drafting and preparing for review all standard and non-standard documents, reports, and presentations with an understanding of partnership transactions and cashflows
  • Applies expertise in KPMG partner policies to assist Manager, Partner Matters with the day-to-day accountabilities supporting the administration and execution of events throughout the partner lifecycle
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to advise and address active and alumni partner questions, resolve issues, and provide/disseminate information as required
  • Assist with maintaining Dynamics system, ensuring that reporting of partner activity is regular, timely, and accurate
  • Understand data requirements and assist in the preparation of reports for partners and others
  • Support the partner voting process
What You Bring To The Role
  • 2-3 years ability to understand basic financial transactions and cashflows - income, expenses
  • 2-3 years advanced technical skills with MS Office Products - Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint etc.
  • 1 year experience with Microsoft Dynamics an asset
  • KPMG experience with knowledge of business and processes is an asset
  • Experience working in a partnership environment an asset
  • Knowledge of written and spoken French is an asset
  • Strong time management, organizational and/or project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with firm leaders and others
  • A quick learner with a proven aptitude for proactivity, initiative and innovation, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
This is a remote/hybrid position.
