What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Victoria, BC, is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant to support a successful Investment Advisor’s business. You will play an important role in ensuring all administrative duties are completed with high attention to detail. The succesful candidate should have both administrative and financial experience.

What will you do?
  • Perform daily administrative functions in a punctual, professional manner while providing the highest quality internal and external client service.
  • Meet and greet clients
  • Investigate and resolve inquiries and complaints related to accounts and refer to the Investment Advisor where appropriate
  • Manage all paperwork required for account opening, and account transactional activities, as well as account servicing requests
  • Maintain current knowledge of client accounts by reviewing daily activity online and on applicable reports
  • Maintain client files
  • Assist clients with setting up of Online account accesses
  • Monitor all pending plan transfers to ensure completion on a timely basis
  • Utilize contact management system for daily task management
  • Print reports and distribute them accordingly
  • Conduct various administrative functions as required including the review of incoming mail, answering telephone calls
  • Assist in preparing mailings such as seminars, newsletters, and information packages
  • Assist Investment Advisor in preparing for client meetings; Schedule meetings
  • Involvement in client appreciation events

Must-have
  • High School Diploma
  • Exceptional Client Service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Administrative Experience
  • Experience working under pressure
Nice-to-have
  • Previous financial or brokerage industry experience
  • Post-secondary degree
  • CSC and CPH
