Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist

Oakridge Shared Services is looking for an Entry Level Accounts Recievable/Payable Specialist to join our team! We are proud to be a part of thePattison Group of companies. About You:

The person we are looking for is a tech savvy, quick learner, who can operate multiple software systems. You have exceptional attention to detail, and strong research and analytical skills. You’re capable of meeting strict deadlines and inputting large amounts of data with 100% accuracy. And you’re a team player who has a high degree of personal accountability. The ideal candidate would have:

• Strong technical proficiency, intermediate Excel skills
• Knowledge of SAP and Dynamics
• Preference will be given for a certificate or degree in business management with an accounting focus

Position Overview:

At Oakridge Shared Services we operate in a dynamic Shared Services environment and our core business is to provide effective, timely and efficient accounting and back room services to organizations within the Jim Pattison Group as well as privately owned businesses.

Day in the Life

• Perform and review invoice and statement reconciliations in an efficient and error free manner
• Process invoices for payment and ensure that best practices and protocol are followed without error
• Prepare adjustments for discrepancies
• Review accuracy and completeness of monthly and weekly reconciliations
• Support month end processes as required
• Report and track any and all discrepancies as well as provide all back-up documentation to suppliers and internal stakeholders monthly
• Monitor and apply payments for all major customers to ensure they are paying to agreed terms
• Manage and report on customer and supplier programs such as promotions, transfer fees, etc.
• System set up of new customer and suppliers
