Accountant

Duties:

Supervise all accounting functions
Responsible for the accuracy of the general ledger to ensure timely and complete financial reporting is delivered. This includes ensuring all accounts are reconciled on a timely basis, inventory is counted and valued properly , and all reserves and accruals are accurate and timely.
Responsibility for the cost accounting system including accurate development of work center costs, accurate and timely and standard costs.
Complete monthly, quarterly, and yearly government remittances: WSIB, Payroll Sources Deductions, HST, etc.
Support payroll activities including integration of payroll with the ERP system and filing of payroll taxes
Work with ERP Project Manager

Education/Skills & Experience Required:

University degree, CPA
Advanced IT Competency, must have advanced working knowledge with SAGE 300
Minimum 5 years of financial and accounting-related experience
Previous working experience in a manufacturing setting ( preferably sheet metal ) with an emphasis on cost accounting principles and practices
Must have experience with setting up ERP system

Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
