Our Sales team is the largest revenue-generation department at United. They work closely with travel agencies, United travel departments, and corporate clients.

Job Overview And Responsibilities

This role is to cover a Parental Leave position and is for 14 months. This role will have responsibility for maximizing the customer experience by offering excellent fulfillment and sales support to our key Corporate and Agency customers. Complement field sales efforts by guiding service-related issues to a mutually beneficial resolution for customers and United.

• Provide PNR-related, pre-travel and post-travel assistance to valuable customers, and offer innovative/creative solutions that create win/win situations for both the customer and United
• Coordinate with other United divisions (i.e. baggage, reservations, airport, customer relations, etc) to mediate and resolve customer issues
• Provide timely and informative responses to customer and field sales inquiries in a professional manner
• Successfully track and report at a rate of 100% waivers/favors and provide monthly reporting to K/AM, HKGVG and HDQ on accounts’ use of waivers/favors, budget, call volume, upgrade usage, etc.
• Processing of free ticket budgets and Upgrade banks, processing and reporting on waiver/favour accounts
• Oversight of Group Reservation handling
• Providing support to the Sales organization: assigned roles as back up for Pricing Implementation, Corporate Contracting, Marketing as well as Account Managers for joint customer visits and product training and out calling to ensure awareness of special fares or promotions.
  

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Required

• 2 years in Reservations or Customer Service
• Demonstrates a high level of customer service
• Possess a good working knowledge of United’s products & procedures
• Sound decision making
• Attention to detail
• Good team player
• Must be legally authorized to work in Australia for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
  

Preferred

• Proficiency in GDS and Microsoft applications
