Staples Promotional Products Account Manager (15 Month Contract)

What you’ll be doing: As the Account Manager you will market and sell SPP products and services to new and existing customers and manage enterprise-level contracted client relationships. Your customers are some of the most exciting and recognized brands in Canada (Shopify, Air Canada, Tim Hortons, etc.), and you are responsible for customer satisfaction and for the delivery of commitments made by the company. Much of your day is spent communicating with customers to solve their challenges and also interacting with SPP’s suppliers and internal resources to build the right solutions for our customers. While you are responsible for achieving team sales and profit goals, you are also designing and implementing strategic business plans and reviews for your customers, and always looking for ways to deepen your relationships and grow the sales within your Enterprise Accounts.

What you bring to the table: You need to like people, be outgoing, proactive, have a flair for shopping and/or merchandising, and you need to be tightly organized. No two days are ever the same in this role so you need to be flexible, keen to learning, and have a problem-solving mentality. Our number one focus is our customer, and because we sell together as a team, you need to be a strong team player who likes to collaborate, is respectful of the opinions of others, and is not afraid to bring new ideas to the table. You need to have a drive to succeed for your customers

What’s Needed- Basic Qualifications
  • You have 3+ years of sales and/or customer service experience.
  • Bilingual (French/English) both written & spoken (perfered).
  • Your previous experience in the promotional merchandise industry will greatly benefit your candidacy but will not hold you back if you lack it.
  • You are able to travel to visit to customers within Canada.
What’s Needed- Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentations skills with a flair for sales
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Ability to prioritize and execute work under tight deadlines
  • Proficient use of Microsoft programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to always demonstrate a positive and supportive attitude even during stressful or difficult situations
