We are looking for a Full-Time First Cook to join our dynamic culinary team at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club!

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Assist with menu set up, prep and ensuring the freshness of ingredients

· Ensure all finished products meet standards for plating and presentation.

· Maintain proper storage, labeling and rotation of food items, while prepping as well as when deliveries come in.

· Organizing food orders to guarantee timely and efficient food service.

· Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.

· Assist in supervision and instruction to cooks and kitchen staff as necessary

· Ensure the kitchen is clean, well-supplied and organized.

· Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position supervising staff

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly.

· Strong communication skills and attention to detail are required.

· Positive, team player who can work independently and within a team environment.

· Strong decision making & problem-solving skills.

· Professional attitude and strong interpersonal skills

· Able to multitask and maintain consistency at the same time.

· Able to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

· Food Safe Certificate Required
