Overview
The Junior Talent Advisor will support the Baylis recruitment team. They will assist with the hands-on coordination of recruiting top talent gaining exposure to all steps of our hiring process. The Junior Talent Advisor will be reporting to the Talent Acquisition Team Lead and will be responsible for supporting ongoing recruitment searches, campus recruitment initiatives and events, onboarding and orientation of new employees to Baylis Medical.
Snapshot of Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end support to drive the Talent Acquisition process
  • Screening resumes
  • Scheduling interviews
  • Administering assessments
  • Conducting references and background checks
  • Drafting offers of employment
  • Coordinating onboarding and new hire orientation activities and maintaining up to date content for orientation presentation
  • Drive and oversee the internal completion of tasks related to the onboarding of new hires
  • Monitoring onboarding tracking systems
  • Supporting managers as they prepare for new hires
  • Coordinating training sessions for new hires and department needs
  • Support Baylis’ campus recruitment strategy by liaising with schools, planning events, and acting as an ambassador on-campus.
  • Be the super-user of our Talent technologies (Jobvite, Canvas, etc.) and have key input to ensuring we use it to its full potential.
  • Support building and providing Metrics that will help drive our Talent Acquisition Strategy
  • Be included in special projects and initiatives that supports department goals as required
  • Adhere to and promote the adherence to all Corporate, Quality and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.

What you bring to the team

  • Minimum one year of experience in an HR and/or Recruiting role, can be inclusive of co-op or part-time experience
  • Successful completion of a College diploma or University Degree required. Strong preference for specialization in Human Resources field.
  • Previous experience working with an HRIS, ATS or ERP system necessary.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with an ability to juggle multiple demands – you thrive in an ever-changing environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, client focus and service orientation. Ability to communicate diplomatically.
  • Ability to maintain and manage confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Excellent data entry-computer systems skills and word processing skills, including above average proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and adapt at learning new technologies and applications
  • Flexible – may be required to take on ad hoc assignments
