Job Summary
AECOM is seeking Junior Safety Advisors for our CNRL Albian project in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a full-time temporary position on a 6 days on, 1 day off schedule.
A Safety Advisor develops and manages SH&E programs for the company, business lines, regions, and/or clients. Provides leadership and support to Operations to help the organization achieve SH&E goals and objectives. Assists the business to meet regulatory requirements relating to specific SH&E obligations e.g. trained SH&E professionals in business/projects, officer duties, statutory reporting etc.
Job Summary:
- Under direct supervision, performs basic and routine duties in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the ES&H standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements.
- Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs, systems and procedures.
- Assists in monitoring hazards and diseases that could be present in the work area.
- Works with others to investigate accidents, injuries and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.
- Participates in recommending improvement in processes, design, procedures and equipment to minimize hazards.
- Participates in employee training, emergency preparedness and assures the quality of programs.
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS and none or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- CSTS-09 or CSTS-2020
- Driver’s License and Clean 3-Year Driver’s Abstract
