Junior IT Support Analyst (12 Month Contract – Possibility to go Permanent)

The Junior IT Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the Helpdesk team with escalations and on-site support to employees in Canada and the U.S. This includes assistance with hardware and software issues either by phone, remotely or in-person. Additionally, the role involves supporting IT managers with application and infrastructure project tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st level IT support for all internal customers in the U.S. and Canada
  • Supporting computer hardware, laptops, mobile devices, telephones, printers and scanners
  • Follow-up on outstanding incidents and escalations to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Respond to all inquiries in an efficient and professional manner
  • Support users remotely using remote control tools
  • Assist with hardware deployment, relocation and configuration as required
  • Assist with user onboarding and off-boarding
  • Help with management and tracking of IT assets across the company
  • Assist with IT projects and other ad hoc assignments as required
  • Some travel within the extended GTA may be required to support different office locations.
  • Some availability outside normal business hours (evenings and weekends) may be required for resolution of urgent IT issues

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar IT support role
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications and services
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a service delivery mindset
  • Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Able to prioritize and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Calm and patient approach to dealing with people at all times
  • Team player who is able to take direction and work independently
  • Previous helpdesk experience is preferred but not required
