Summary

The Junior IT Desktop Support Technician provides IT technical support for the day-to-day operations of Pure Canadian Gaming Corporate Office and locations in Edmonton, Calgary and Lethbridge. This role will provide IT technical support via phone, e-mail, remote access and in person to team members across multiple sites.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide support for users running Windows 10
• Create users accounts in Active Directory
• Reset passwords
• Setup network printers / copiers
• Equipment ordering
• Inventory management
• Asset control

Job Duties

• Imaging, configuring, and deploying desktops and laptops
• Hardware troubleshooting and problem resolution, including coordinating repairs with vendors
• Installation and support of desktop software and applications on a variety of operating systems, including MS Office productivity tools, and email services
• Basic network troubleshooting and management
• Manage trouble ticket queue: open, update and close tickets as work is completed
• Equipment setup moves and tear downs
• Troubleshoot and resolve various file and print issues
• Follow existing policies and procedures
• Other projects as required Requirements

Requirements

• Computer Network Administrator Certificate or equivalent
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of Windows 10.
• Experience and knowledge in MS Office support, especially Outlook
• Valid Driver’s License and own transportation
• Dedication to excellent customer support in the face of challenging requirements
• Excellent communications skills (verbal & written) in English
• Organizational skills and ability to coordinate projects across the facilities
• Ability to resolve complex support issues, through research, testing and problem-solving skills

• Physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the position (may be required to lift, move, push, or pull objects weighing up to 30 kilograms)
• Ability to work on feet, with bending, stretching, walking, lifting or moving items
• Schedule – flexibility required with some evening, weekend, or holiday work
