The post holder acts as Material costs estimator for steel projects and in purchases. He must respect the standards of occupational health and safety as well as the policies and procedures required by the company.

estimate (75%)

• Analyze projects and highlight the particularities and esteem costs in detail;
• Calculate the cost of subcontracting materials and services for the realization of the project;
• Make material price requests (steel, bolts and specialized supplies).
• Calculate the weight of steel, asks other departments of the company manufacturing times and drawing;
• Request the cost of transport to site for finished products, equipment and tools; estimates the team’s travel time;
• Update the list of various subcontractors in the database.
  

Purchase (25%)

• Prepare and execute, by submission or by phone, purchases according to the identified needs;
• Monitoring (relaunch) with suppliers and make the Verification of invoices versus the purchase orders;
• Put costs to the various projects before sending invoices to the accounting;
• Monitoring the certificates of mills (Milltest) to meet customer requirements;
• follow up on galvanization shipping memos in order to distribute these costs on projects;
• do research supplier prices and updating the price lists of suppliers;
• Monitor the delivery memos of finished products to customers to start the process of invoicing;
• Ensure D e obtaining galvanization reports;

Qualifications Required

• Civil engineering and any other relevant experience.
