As a Junior Environmental Technologist Student,you will join our Kindersley, Saskatchewanoffice as part of our assessment, remediation, reclamation and monitoring (ARRM) team. The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of projects with responsibilities as follows:

• Active participation in maintaining Matrix’s strong safety culture
• Assist with the field coordination and execution of Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments, remediation and ground water monitoring programs
• Support well abandonment activities including: surface reclamation, soil and vegetation assessments
• Participate in spill responses and associated clean-up activities
• Travel as required to support field programs
• Assist with other service line projects when needed
  

What We Are Looking For

• Must be enrolled in an environmental, geoscience, or engineering program at a recognized post-secondary institution
• Excellent problem-solving ability
• Site safety certifications and familiarity with off road vehicles, ½ or ¾ ton trucks would be considered an asset
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• A valid class 5 driver’s license (or class G or equivalent) with no restrictions.
