Position: Junior Associate – Family Law Litigator

Years of Experience – 3+ years

Firm: Watson Goepel LLP – West Vancouver Office (Dundarave) & Downtown Vancouver

Firm Practice Areas: Family, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Corporate Commercial, Personal Injury and Real Estate

Watson Goepel LLP is a full-service firm in business for 40 years. We have 35+ lawyers combined in our Vancouver and West Vancouver offices, and we’re growing. We have an immediate opening in our Vancouver office for an experienced, full-time, junior family lawyer to round-out our team of five family law lawyers. You should maintain a client-focused mindset, have superior analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy, and can solve complex problems using your knowledge of the law.

The Family Law Group is led by Partner, Laurence Klass, who takes a pragmatic approach to finding solutions that are tailored to each client’s unique needs. With an emphasis on teamwork, we hold weekly practice group meetings to ensure our lawyers remain connected and supported by their team as they develop their individual practices.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in family law with a focus on litigation
  • Proactive and business development minded
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Above average interpersonal and client management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to provide mentorship to junior colleagues

Salary:

$125,000+ based on years of experience
