The 156th Street project in Edmonton is recruiting:

  • Carpenters
  • Carpenter Apprentices


Responsibilities:

  • Be able to comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts
  • Understand industrial concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures
  • Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, while utilizing appropriate math skills
  • Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and location
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • Preference will be given to a Journeyman Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority or be a Registered Carpenter Apprentice
  • Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
  • Fall Protection and Confined Space is an asset
  • Ability to coach, mentor and train apprentices
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
