Position Summary

Strike is requiring Journeyman Pipefitters for shutdown turnaround in live gas plant with maintenance experience.

POSITION LOCATION/ DETAILS
  • Project is approximately 1 hour from Medicine Hat
  • Start dates in July and August 2022
  • Day shift and Night shift positions available
  • Strike will provide daily transportation to and from Medicine hat to project site
Core Accountabilities
  • Read, interpret and red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s, acorn drawings etc.)
  • Install piping spools, equipment and valves in modules
  • Mentor and provide guidance for apprentices
  • Hydrotest, assemble and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility and in modules
  • Measure, cut, and thread pipe from acorn drawings
Qualifications
  • Possess a valid Journeyman certificate of qualification issued by the appropriate province or federal authority
  • Minimum 2 years of formal training and experience in oil and gas industrial projects
  • CSTS, and Standard First Aid
  • Fall Protection certification
  • Ground Disturbance Certification
  • OSSA Ticket (preferred) but not required
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Capable of working with small tools
  • Capable of working as part of a team
  • Fluent in speaking and reading English
  • Must be able to follow directions
  • Fall protection, gas monitor training, confined space, AWP trading tickets considered an asset
