One of our manufacturing clients in Victoria, BC is looking for an Journeyman Millwright for their facility. Shifts - Days Responsibilities Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot machinery and building equipment across all plant areas, as well as handle the relocation and movement of heavy equipment and parts. Conduct predictive, preventative, commissioning, and decommissioning operations, and perform functions like vibration analysis and oil analysis. Provide service for hydraulic and mechanical presses, as well as handle powder material handling, including process pumps and vacuum pumps. Maintain fluid power systems, covering hydraulics, pneumatics, and vacuum systems. Execute welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, alongside CNC waterjet/plasma cutting, fabrication design, and oxy-acetylene torch work. Undertake responsibilities in the machine shop, including tasks related to manual and CNC lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders. Engage in research, testing, and development of modern technology, equipment, and maintenance practices. Qualifications Possession of a Journeyman Certificate of IP Qualification in the trade of Industrial Mechanic/Millwright (recognized in Canada). Preference for a Red Seal certification. Potential encouragement to pursue training in a complementary trade or field to become multi-skilled.
