Java Software Engineer

Job content

It is a new project involving command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, targeting, acquisition and reconnaissance capabilities with its groundbreaking Rheinmetall Command and Control Software. This person will have different screens at their station - one with a map, one with radar images, one with camera or drone images, one where they can see the commands or sensors, one for communications between the radars. There is also a huge screen in the room where everything is displayed.

The different screens are used to control everything. There’s a lot of UI with JAVAFX, so the candidate must be open to learn it. There are surveillance apps, some back end too. The development is all in Java - control sensors, optics, cameras, radars, They work in Linux, Windows and Android -

We are looking for someone who is motivated to learn and can be autonomous.

Day to day:

Agile, scrum environment with sprints of 2 weeks.

The Scrum Master and the Product Owner give tasks.

Morning meeting with Jira, each developer bids on a task they feel most comfortable with and has two weeks to execute.

Design, implement and test units.

At the end of the 2 weeks, demonstration of what you did, functionality.
