**This posting is for one (1) full-time temporary position ending on or before December 30, 2023**
The Employee Staffing and Civilian Recruitment Unit of the Edmonton Police Service has an opportunity for a highly organized and competent individual to provide assistance with all stages of the civilian member hiring process. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:
- Preparing documentation relating to the recruitment, selection, and transfer of civilian members, including job requisitions and letters of offer and regret.
- This position is responsible for recruitment activities and providing support to the Recruitment Consultant for complex and high-volume recruitment activities.
- Collecting data for Enhanced Security Clearances and reviewing for accuracy.
- Conducting reference checks.
- Preparing job data forms for Payroll and HRIM.
- Preparing onboarding paperwork and conducting employee orientations with new hires.
- Preparing a range of written documents, maintaining tracking sheets, and assisting employees and supervisors for Commissioners for Oaths.
- Working with hiring managers to create and post vacant positions.
- Cover for the HR Consultant and HR Assistant when necessary.
- Performing other related duties as required.
- Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade including business subjects with an emphasis on word and information processing, or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college, supplemented by training in basic microcomputer applications.
- A minimum of three (3) years diversified word and information processing experience.
- Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources is considered an asset.
- Prior experience in Human Resources is an asset.
- Proficiency with Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, customer service, and written communication skills.
- The ability to process a large volume of work with a high degree of accuracy.
- The ability to function effectively under the pressure of a fast-paced work environment with many competing deadlines.
- Experience in PeopleSoft, Taleo and Org Plus would be considered an asset.
- Applicants may be tested.
- As part of your pre-hire screening you will be required to complete an Enhanced Security Clearance. Should you accept employment with the Edmonton Police Service you acknowledge and agree to participate in future Enhanced Security Re-Clearances at scheduled intervals or in any other circumstances, exigent or otherwise, as required by Human Resources Division.

Hours of Work:
33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.
Salary Range:
82M, Salary Grade: 007, $26.92 - $33.76 (Hourly), $1,817.60 - $2,279.10 (Bi-Weekly), $47,440.40 - $59,485.49 (Annually).
