Primary Responsibilities

The Transit Dispatcher is responsible for the dispatch of drivers and providing accurate direction. They ensure dispatch and driver operations are in accordance with established standards. Assist in incident reporting and be knowledgeable about regional area and provide solutions and/or alternatives. The role also includes providing a high degree of customer service in a fast-paced work environment.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will posses the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Available to work Tuesday to Friday 3:00ppm to 7:00pm and Saturdays 8:45am to 7:00pm
• Must provide clear Criminal Record Search
• Ability to work independently.
• Have a sound knowledge of the City of Woodstock
• Must have own transportation to work
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must be proficient in MS Microsoft programs, Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Must have excellent phone skills
• Previous dispatch experience an asset.
