Purpose

This role is responsible for creating the Customer first Learning and Development strategy and providing leadership and guidance to the Customer First team on all aspects of training required for effective change management. The role ensures the CF L&D program aligns with the organizations culture and competencies. They will work with the OCM Director and L&D Director to create the Learning strategy and plan to increase organizational performance and engagement. This role will consult with the business to ensure we effectively plan training and development needs. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with local HR and the business is essential to ensure L&D programs are consistently delivered across the enterprise. This role will manage, coach and lead the Training coordinator.

Accountabilities
  • Create the Customer First training strategy in partnership with IBM and Liberty L&D
  • Ensure consistent role out of the training strategy across all the Customer First projects
  • Represent Customer First on the Training council
  • Create the Train the Trainer approach and gain agreement from the business
  • Engage and consult with stakeholders in identifying trainers and agreeing the training plan
  • Confirm resource requirements and timing, define the priorities, resources, roles and responsibilities for team efforts
  • Manage contractor relationships to create learning content
  • Oversee the development of courseware and instructor presentation materials; review deliverables.
  • Acts as a communication focal point for training issues; ensures timely issue identification, resolution and appropriate escalation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed training work plans and budgets.
  • Develop training curriculum content, finalize course outlines, and develop course review schedules.
  • Develop training metrics and monitor quality of training development effort.
  • Create executive updates on training approach and metrics
  • Develop and deliver Train-the-trainer courses for instructors, if required.
  • Manage a direct report providing oversight of the training schedule and co-ordination activities
  • Creates a CF training sustainment plan to ensure the training continues to be managed appropriately post project go live.
  • Manage the change management process for CF training materials.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years+ experience leading large training initiatives for ERP or technology implementations (SAP preferred)
  • Experience leading training design, development, and delivery logistics across multiple locations
  • Strong project management skills
  • Organization design background
