POSITION: Tourism Student (Competition #2023-20)

LOCATION: CAO - Oxford County Administration Building - Woodstock, ON

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Temporary Full-time

REPORTING TO: Tourism Specialist

UNION AFFILIATION:Non-Union

WAGE RANGE:$18.00/hr

HOURS OF WORK: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Student employment commences in May 2023 and ends at the beginning of September 2023.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Support Tourism Oxford team with visitor information services, marketing & promotion. Duties will be a diverse mix of experiences related to tourism marketing and development. Duties will vary based on candidate’s skill set. Will include indoor and outdoor work at locations throughout the County.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary tourism, communications, or marketing program.
• Ability to perform in a multi-tasked environment and ability to remain flexible.
• Strong research and communication skills (verbal, writing, reading)
• Strong grasp of computer software in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with customer service and developing promotional content is an asset.
• To be considered for a student position, you must currently be enrolled on a full-time basis at a post-secondary institution, and be returning to a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis in the Fall of 2023.
