Description
Dixon Group Canada is a world leader manufacturer and distributor of hose fittings, related accessories, and tank truck products. We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager (TM) for Quebec and the Maritimes to join our Canadian sales team. Reporting to the Canadian Sales Manager, the TM will be responsible for selling corporate products and for acquiring, expanding, and maintaining the designated territory. This role involves increasing company revenue by generating sales from new and existing customers. The incumbent will achieve business targets through effective territory management, face-to-face visits, and development of ongoing, profitable relationships with customers while continually maintaining a professional image of the organization. High level customer service to clients and potential customers, integrity, passion, communication, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:

  • Serving as single-point-of-contact for key accounts
  • Developing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Collaborating with customers to define needs and provide solutions
  • Identifying and targeting new business sales opportunities
  • Promoting and maintaining the organization’s brand image and identity
  • Developing sales goals
  • Providing input and assisting in the design of presentations and other marketing materials
  • Ensuring overall customer satisfaction
  • Providing customers with price quotations
  • Collaborating with sales channels to determine sales strategies and leads
  • Supporting marketing efforts at trade shows, exhibits, and other events
  • Cross selling company products
  • Providing ongoing support and product related training on behalf of customers
  • Travel up to 50% per month

Competencies:

  • Fluent in English and French
  • High mechanical aptitude (mechanically inclined)
  • Ability to effectively communicate key information and assess client needs, develop proposals, and deliver solutions
  • Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with a high degree of tact and persuasiveness
  • Excellent speaking skills, including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences
  • Ability to write clear and concise value proposition statements
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas
