We are presently seeking a Technician on the day shift that will be responsible to provide technical support for established processes for backend and test areas.

Your responsibilities:

• Responsible for the implementation of a clean and safe workplace following 5S methodology;
• Participate in process development, qualification and transfer to the production line;
• Participate in the selection, procurement, set-up and qualification of new equipment;
• Work as a team to solve process-related problems;
• Communicate findings through reports, presentations and team discussions;
• Use and promote MINT to follow and update all the activities;
• Use Six Sigma methodology for all activities;
• Apply and monitor statistical process control (SPC) methods to track process performance;
• Comply with the company’s documentation system, quality policy and procedure for the introduction of new products and processes;
• Generate and maintain work orders and procedures for equipment operation and process. Perform the training associated to these procedures;
• Report and document process issues and equipment malfunctions. Participate in the definition and application of corrective and preventive actions;
• Do the operations of the non-production batches (EXP, ENG,...) and follow their progress;
• Collaborate with the maintenance department;
• Support production and work on the production batches if needed;
• Perform other related duties as required.

Your qualifications:

• Possess a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical, Mechanical or related field/equivalent experience;
• Possess a minimum of three (3) years of fabrication experience (Assembly or Wafer);
• Have knowledge of processes and equipment of the areas listed above;
• Demonstrate a high level of responsibility and mobilization;
• Demonstrate proactivity;
• Demonstrate a good balance between taking initiative and collaboration;
• Have knowledge of Six Sigma methodology and statistical process control (yellow or green belt certification is an asset);
• Possess organizational and teamwork skills;
• Possess training skills for operators and technicians;
• Ability to perform experiments and participate in the analysis of the results;
• Proficient in French (both written and spoken) and very good communication in English required (written and spoken).
