Duties & Responsibilities

Equipment Management/Setup

• Perform technology needs research and analysis.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory of all computer equipment, peripherals, software licenses, etc.
• Build, Install, test and update computer equipment (computers, servers, peripherals, programs and software)
  
  

Network/Site Management

• Maintain, upgrade and ensure security of network and server infrastructure
• Manage the mobile and computer security policy
• Create and adhere to existing backup and disaster recovery plans
• Plan, implement and support the network and computing infrastructure plan
• Office Responsibilities
• Produce technical documentation to agreed quality standards
• Ad-Hoc Work (As Required)
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Technical expertise in network infrastructure configurations, desktops/laptops, and operating systems, including LINUX, MS-Windows and network systems including CISCO IOS, switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, etc.
• Knowledge of virtual server environments (VMware, HyperV)
• Knowledge on industry best practices on configuring and maintaining data centres
  
  

Core Competencies

• Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users
• Demonstrated ability to administer a 250+ node network including firewalls
• Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies
• Wired and wireless security experience is an asset
• IP Telephony or VoIP routing experience is an asset
• Excellent English oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Knowledge on AWS, Microsoft O365, InTune, SysAid, and MDM software is an asset
• Experience with SOC 2 Type 2 is an asset
