Your Day to Day

An Int. technician is required to perform the job and task assigned. Be an effective team member with excellent organizational and time management skills being self-motivated, hardworking and flexible. As well as dependable; and able to work independently and under pressure, to meet deadlines. An intermediate technician is expected to work outside in all types of weather conditions and assist the senior technician and may occasionally work alone to complete some survey tasks and also perform some basic survey calculations. An intermediate technician is also required to submit timesheets and journals on time and update them daily and consistently.

• Transport and assemble survey equipment safely
• Report all vehicle and equipment deficiencies when they occur
• Assist in taking or take measurements
• Work accurately and carefully, have good teamwork skills, be able to work outside for long periods of time, and be willing to travel to projects throughout southwestern Ontario
• Maintain current Company safety standards and required accreditations
• Be vigilant and observant of one’s surroundings to ensure security to vehicles and equipment and safety to self and fellow team members
• Be mindful and respectful of all properties and their owners/occupants
• Be a positive spokesperson for the Companies in all situations
• Performs site reviews and prepares written reports
• Assists in the preparation of technical reports
• Knowledge of use of Total Station and GPS equipment
• Knowledge of field survey services, legal and engineering
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other GIS software
  

Who You Are

As a successful candidate, you’d bring the following to the team:

• Graduate of a college or technical school in Canada, or equivalent that provides either Surveying, Geomatics (Survey)
• Practical experience equivalent will be considered.
• 3-6 years of experience
