Job Description


Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manger, the Supply Chain specialist is responsible for seeking out the best business partnerships to deliver exceptional value, quality, and service to our internal stakeholders. The Supply Chain Specialist supports the strategic procurement of commodities, supplies, equipment, and services to be used by Dexterra Group Inc.

The Supply Chain Specialist performs some or all the following duties:

  • Assist in the Design, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing supply chain processes
  • Assist in the development of roadmaps that are in line with Dexterra Groups Inc’s competitive strategy and policies, for multiple categories.
  • Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials.
  • Identify cost savings and value-added opportunities for assigned categories.
  • Identify and determine suppliers through RFX analysis and internal stakeholders’ requirements.
  • Work predominantly with our Supply Chain Support Services, but also link with other business units, nationally and internationally, to establish where synergies and economies of scale exist.
  • Analysis of existing and new industry trends within a given category.
  • Participating in the seamless roll-out of category strategy initiatives across the organization that deliver results in-line with the category strategy.
  • Develop and maintain supplier contracts
  • Bring forward ideas for process improvements as it relates to Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Relationship management with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support operational excellence across the organization related to supply chain initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Post-secondary education at an accredited University or College with a degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Business or Commerce or commensurate experience.
  • Advanced computer skills a must.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and with a strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • 3-5 years of foodservice experience
