MBC Group is looking for an experienced and well-qualified (intermediate) Structural Technologist to join our New Westminster team. Relying on your five (5) years of experience, your main tasks will be to manage numerous Construction projects from repairs to new construction developments and their related requirements. You will be required to work frequently at the worksites, create accurate and detailed reports, and continually follow up with your many clients to ensure your thorough understanding of their many projects. You are personable, understand the value of maintaining good communications, and enjoy creating long-lasting relationships. Some weekend and evening work will be required.

What you bring

• An applied science, engineering or information technology program accredited at the technologist level by Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC) or equivalent (required)
• High skill level with AutoCAD
• Considerable knowledge of BCBC codes, standards and compliances
• Solid understanding of concrete and steel structures and reading blueprints (strong assets)
• Knowledge of design software such as ETABS, SAP2000 and/or iRobot (assets)
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, and the ability to present solutions in a logical and concise manner
• You also have the following experiences: Design – 5 years, Drafting – 3 years, Project Management – 2 years, and Building Information Modelling (BIM) – 2 years

Salary: $68,000.00-$87,000.00 per year
