Nortech Industries Ltd is a structural steel, fabrication and installation company based in Surrey, BC, Canada.
We have over 25 years of experience in the construction industry.

We are looking for a skilled software engineer responsible for creating and maintaining our company’s internal management system, which is expected to incorporate all aspects and software
suits that we are currently using. Duties will include but are not limited to developing and directing software system development, validation and testing methods. General aspects of the system
will link to our internal database, accounting, inventory, etc.
A master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or another related field is required.
You will also need at least five years of software engineering or software development experience, preferably in a related field, to succeed in this role.

40 hours/week

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods
• Supervising the development of documentation
• Analyzing data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or the modification of existing systems
• Managing the software development lifecycle
• Developing and executing project plans
• Applying best practices and standard operating procedures.
• Creating innovative solutions to meet our company’s technical needs
• Testing new software and fixing bugs
• Shaping the future of our systems
• Supporting and training in-house staff to use the newly developed software solutions

The ideal candidate must be familiar with Autocad, Oracle, other applicable software ...

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science
• Hands-on programming experience using C+/Java/.NET and Web technologies
• In-depth knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience working and communicating directly with clients and business partners
• A comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts
• Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the complete

software development life cycle

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
