Silk Screen Printer Trainee
ABOUT US:

SUMMARY:
As the Silk Screen Printer Trainee, you will be trained in printing, laminating, quality control, and set up/tear down operations. To ensure success as a Silk Screen Printer Trainee, you must be able to stand for long hours, be comfortable with manual labour, have excellent hand-eye coordination, and be able to work with inks and chemicals. The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment. The end goal is for the trainee to be moved into a Silk Screen Printer/Operator role.
DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Quality control for prints coming off the print line
  • Touching up prints as needed
  • Assisting in all setup/tear-down operations
  • Properly stacking prints (slip sheets) as they come off the press
  • Re-filling chemical containers
  • Cleaning of work area (keeping area dust free)
  • Washing and taping screens
  • Proper cleaning and storage of house material
  • Laminating
  • Other duties, as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • High school diploma
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to work with ink and chemicals every day
  • Ability to manually operate large machinery
  • Attention to detail
