As a member of this newly created team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, will be partnering with Distribution leadership to attract, engage and select exceptional talent to IG Wealth Management. You will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment, with a focus on the assessment, selection and onboarding of quality candidates. Being a seasoned Talent Acquisition (TA) professional, you understand how to add value to the hiring process and the intricacies of positioning yourself as a trusted business partner.

Responsibilities Include
  • Act as an internal consultant and advisor to hiring managers throughout the selection process
  • Identify and build relationships with internal peers and groups, and external organizations to attract and engage qualified and diverse candidates
  • Partner with sourcing specialists and TA leadership in the preparation of service level agreements, identifying successful sourcing strategies and outlining key deliverables to hiring managers
  • Focus on building a network - in person and virtually - within assigned markets
  • Create and effectively manage a pipeline of candidates through sourcing and region partnership
  • Acquire advanced knowledge of local competitor firms to engage with experienced financial advisors from other firms
  • Screen and Interview candidates to include resume reviews, conducting competency based interviews and determining which candidates advance in the process by assessing a candidate’s talent, effort, and fit to the consultant/associate opportunity
  • Engage candidate throughout the recruitment and selection process to ensure their understanding and interest in the opportunity
  • Act as the main point of contact for candidates engaged in the selection and onboarding process
  • Maintain regular and ongoing communication with Onboarding Coordinators to ensure a smooth transition of all candidates during the suitability review process and following an offer through to appointment
  • Leverage the applicant tracking system to assess analytics to best drive strategy and results
Job Requirements And Capabilities
  • 5 - 7+ years of advisory, full-cycle recruiting experience, with a focus on understanding business requirements and delivering quality results
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or Commerce, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Previous in-house recruitment experience required, preferably within a large, corporate environment with complex hiring processes
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with business leaders, collaborate within a broader human resources team and influence decisions related to recruitment and hiring practices
  • Highly proficient in the use of behavioral interviewing, with the ability to coach and mentor managers in performing effective interviews
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, combined with experience communicating effectively with diverse candidates and internal groups
