Job Description
Our clients at the University of Guelph are looking for Senior QA Lead to be part of their project team working on our new HRMS program. This QA Analyst with work alongside our technical delivery team, project manager, our vendor and internal Workstream Leads to leas the project team through various QA activities
The ideal candidate:

  • Provide expert advice, research, analysis and design of test plans, related strategies and test processes appropriate to the application, solution and/or business requirements.
  • Must be comfortable with highly complex solutions.
  • Experience with cloud ERPs a benefit.
  • Lead test planning, preparation and execution activities within Project with support/guidance from Business Product Lead and Technical Product Lead.
  • Analyze, develop, debug, execute and maintain complex automated test cases.
  • Coordinate testing planning, support with multiple stakeholder groups both technical and functional.
  • Guide Project Team in using industry standard QA best practices.
  • Lead documentation creation, review, sand sign-off.
  • Apply risk analysis methodologies, tools that align with the project’s development approach.
  • Prioritize testing tasks, ensure milestones, activities and tasks are completed as scheduled per the project plan.
  • Create and execute test cases and verify the severity of issues reported for validity.
  • Develop and execute test plans, cases, scripts and processes inclusive of manual and automated testing.
  • Chair daily defect status calls to ensure prompt through documenting, tracking, testing. Report on test planning, execution, and defects to project team using defined standard test quality metrics.
  • Lead relationships with project team internally and with vendors.
  • Manage test environments with support from technical team.
  • Provide a view of risks and contingency plans as required.
  • Participate in milestone reviews.
  • Identify all high risk issues are resolved before go live and remaining issues are migrated over to Azure DevOps for continued tracking of work.
  • Provide mentorship to QA testers.

Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
  • 5 plus years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working independently in a senior/lead role with a diverse range of tasks.
  • Expert professional knowledge of testing methodologies, best practices and processes.
  • Proficiency in developing test plans and strategies and can lead test execution activities for projects of high complexity
