Our client is an award-winning electric motorcycle manufacturer. They are on a mission to revolutionize the motorcycling experience and modernize it for a new generation.

They are searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team of forward thinking, talented individuals based in Vancouver, Columbia.

You will be responsible for developing innovative powertrain designs and mechanical development of subsystems (such as junction box, battery assembly, cooling system etc).

You will also be responsible for:

• Defining and reviewing DVP&R, and analyzing test results to improve the design.
• Deliver analyses on difficult projects with timing constraints. Analyses examples include crash/vibration resistance, heat rejection, and DFA.
• Addressing DFM feedback and ensure components meet requirements.
• Leading the design for subsystems (such as battery cell fixation)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Experience with Catia.
• At least 5 years of relevant design and development experience in high volume manufacturing.
• At least 2 years of designing electromechanical products.
• Experience in mechanical analysis and manufacturing processes
• Experience with failure analysis (eg fishbone diagram).
• Travel may be required as part of the role.
