We are starting a new Financial Systems Team, responsible for evolving Benevity’s financial systems related to the donation funds processing as well as optimizing operational business processes using software solutions. Help shape this unique and innovative team whose mandate is to evolve Benevity’s donor and cause experience through continuous improvement and change the world for good at the same time.

The Financial Systems team is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst, that has experience with financial systems design, configuration and optimization. We are looking for a self-starter with a problem-solving mindset that can help build and execute on our financial system strategy and vision. If you are a detail-oriented systems thinker who thrives on building and improving systems and processes and you have a knack for financial systems, this opportunity may be for you.

What you will do

• Responsible for the implementation, adoption, ongoing maintenance and enhancements of Benevity operational financial systems
• Create new processes and/or maintain and improve the existing financial systems for the Operations team
• Participate in identifying the impact of upcoming changes on the current business processes and financial systems.
• We are upgrading our financial systems; you will act as a consultative ’project manager’ for Benevity’s key third party financial systems, bringing together cross-functional teams to design and develop the systems integration plan for all transactional scenarios, considering upstream and downstream systems and needs.
• Optimize and manage user provisioning and de-provisioning processes for key operations and financial systems.
• Coordinate between system users, vendors and Benevity’s technical team to facilitate a shared understanding and solutioning of business issues with a growth mindset.
• Work with external vendors and product support teams to effectively solve system issues as they arise
• Deliver training on new financial systems and processes.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather inputs for our financial systems vision.

What you bring

• A degree in a related discipline such as computer systems technology, accounting, or an accounting designation
• A minimum of three years of experience providing operational business support (e.g. analyzing fit of the software to match business needs) to the users of a financial systems (e.g. Reconciliation Software, Banking platforms, invoicing systems and ERPs)
• Data driven with high performance standards.
• Demonstrate success with problem solving to automate and scale business processes in a complex environment.
• Resilient, and thrives in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment and can adjust priorities on-the-fly while managing a diverse and full workload
• Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience creating workflows and generating business process documentation
• Team-oriented with a fun-spirit and sense of humor
