About the Department

The Fresh Finance Dedicated Systems (FSD) team provides services to the Finance teams supporting reporting to regulators. Projects objectives are to implement, improve and automate regulatory reporting for the Intermediate Holding Company (“IHC”), US Branches, Canada Branches, Bank of the West and Broker Dealer.


SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Senior Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst is responsible for managing regulatory reporting projects from planning to implementation, and ensuring the final product enables users to do all required reporting and analysis.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Analysis activities

  • Review and write business requirements
  • Review and write functional specifications
  • Liaise with testing team coordinator to set up SIT and UAT
  • Create test cases, perform SIT testing and support user acceptance testing
  • Analyze technical solutions to ensure they meet functional needs
  • Organize processes and define run books
  • Perform impact analysis

Design activities

  • Define business flows, data flows and architecture
  • Convert functional requirements to design and high level technical requirements
  • Promote dynamic and scalable solutions

Project Management

  • Support project manager on project and activities planning
  • Project management tool set up and maintenance
  • Organize user training

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/MS degree in Business/Finance/Accounting
  • 2-5 year experience in technology (preferable with a Bank/FBO/Broker Dealer)
  • Good knowledge of Axiom Software (Controller View®)
  • 2-5 years of experience in regulatory reporting projects
  • Experience with HP ALM testing tool and Clarity PM tool preferable
  • SQL knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • Detail oriented and analytical thinking
  • Problem solving skills
  • Able to communicate with various stakeholders
