Senior Backend Engineer – Contract Position In Richmond (Remote)

On behalf of our client in Richmond, Ignite Technical Resources is looking for a Senior Backend Engineerwith our client for a 6-month contract opportunity with the possibility of conversion or extension.

Role Description

The customer portal team is working on developing a new portal for our new construction customers / partners. To help us accelerate our team’s objectives, we are looking for an experienced back-end developer (Node.js, GraphQL, Java). An ideal candidate brings with them industry best practices, collaborates with other back-end developers in the company to apply consistent patterns to our codebase, collaborates with front end developers on the team and the product owner to deliver features in production quickly, is self-driven, and is able to hit the ground running.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS comparable experience (bachelors degree in CS).
• Experience (3-5 years of experience in web development).
• Fluent with Node.js, GraphQL, and Java.
• Collaborative working style; able to work and coordinate with other teams.
• Possibility to convert to full time role.
• Does not have to be from Greater Vancouver Area but should be able to work during PST hours (west coast preferred).
