As the Gaming Officer, you oversee security throughout the casino, ensuring guests and employees are secure and protected at all times. In this key role, you will help create a comfortable environment where others feel the assuring calm of your presence. Internally, you will protect the company from theft and/or fraud, while delivering a rock-solid commitment to customer service.

At all times, you are aware of the gaming operations and will work under provincial gaming regulations and comply with all applicable laws, policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and write reports.
• Maintain knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Handling Confidential Information procedures (employer-sponsored training).
• Maintain a presence on the gaming floor and be able to respond to guest inquiries quickly.
• Control access to the facility and particularly to sensitive areas.

What You Bring

• Gaming Security Officer (GSO) Certificate OR completion of Gaming Security Officer (GSO) training/exam within 90 days of start (employer-sponsored).
• Completion of Serving It Right prior to start date.
• Proven, high level of customer service.
• Solid analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to physically restrain and secure individuals using prescribed techniques.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Preference may be given to those with a valid Occupational First Aid Level 2 Certificate (OFA2).
• Preference may be given to those with Advanced Security Training (AST).
• Detail-orientated and organized nature.
• Solid analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Social perceptiveness and good vision to identify people.
