Security Awareness Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Security Awareness Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Security Awareness Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the protection of our organization and customers from potential security threats. The Security Awareness Specialist will be able to create and maintain a trusting relationship with clients. This is a hybrid position with the occasional requirement to perform duties at our Toronto office location. Strong communication skills and a deep understanding of security awareness program (training and phishing campaigns) are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage security awareness training programs for customers across the globe.
• Create engaging and effective training materials.
• Design and implement phishing campaigns to assess and improve employees’ susceptibility to social engineering attacks.

• Analyze and report on the effectiveness of security awareness programs and campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, HR, and legal, to ensure alignment and support for security awareness initiatives.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to customers regarding security awareness and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as Certified Security Awareness Practitioner (CSAP) or SANS Security Awareness Professional (SSAP) are a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field
• Proven experience in managing and implementing security awareness programs and training is preferred.
• Knowledge of French language is a plus
• Strong knowledge of security principles, social engineering techniques, and common security threats
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present complex concepts to diverse audiences
• Experience with creating engaging training materials, such as presentations, videos, and interactive modules

• Proficiency in assessing and conducting phishing campaigns
• Ability to analyze data and generate comprehensive reports on security awareness program effectiveness
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong research background, utilizing an analytical approach

• Candidate must be able to react quickly, decisively, and deliberately in high stress situations
• Comfortable working against deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills are required to document and communicate findings, escalate critical incidents, and interact with customers
• Highly motivated individual with the ability to self-start, prioritize, multi-task and work in a team setting
• This is a hybrid opportunity with an in office requirement at least 1x/week
