We are currently accepting applications for the following position, located in Montreal, QC:

SAP Business Process Owner – Finance

Reporting to the IT Manager, the successful candidate will own SAP business processes and business blueprint end-to-end processes for Finance across all metallurgical sites. The candidate will be responsible for defining and monitoring key performance indicators across business processes and all aspects of change management.

The role will be accountable for any new requirements and enhancements. This includes gathering requirements in collaboration with all sites, documentation sign-off, and presenting changes to the change management board. Once approved, the SAP BPO is responsible for collaborating with global program management for the implementation, testing and deployment of the agreed upon changes.

Other Responsibilities

• Own Master Data governance processes and changes;
• Approval of any changes to Configuration, Developments, Processes and/or Security;
• Channel business escalations with Global program management;
• Responsible for key strategic project execution;
• Propose solutions to SAP Finance related issues;
• Work with super-users to troubleshoot issues and implement optimized processes for Finance;
• Collaboration with other SAP streams such as Material Management and Commodity Management;
• Close cooperation with global teams regarding knowledge-sharing and business development for specific expert topics;
• Work with sites on defining and improving test scripts, coordinating testing when required;
• Communicate key strategic dates to businesses, define schedule and make sure users are mobilized to perform testing;
• Coordinate with global support on test results and follow-ups.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a recognized post-secondary educational institution;
• 3-5 years’ direct experience working with SAP, most of which spent directly interacting with the finance module;
• 1-2 years’ project management experience with increasing responsibilities;
• Good knowledge of SAP Finance and Month-end processes;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English & French;
• Ability to manage a team of Subject Matter experts at multiple sites to ensure SAP issues are highlighted and resolved in a timely manner;
• Capacity for teamwork, analysis and conceptual thinking.
