We have been in the Produce business since the 1930’s, primarily known for leafy greens. We sell commodities straight from the field or we add value to the commodities in our processing facilities. We currently serve the Retail, Wholesale and specialty services markets within North America. We market under our own brand names or we offer private label options as a service. Our Queen Victoria brand, along with Lovin’ Life and Frisco’s have been consumer favorites for decades. We are Canadian and family-owned, currently on our third generation of the Ippolito name! We nurture strong relationships with local growers - some of whom have been supplying us exclusively for decades. We are vertically integrated. Along with our sister companies and exclusive suppliers, we grow, pack, ship, process, warehouse and distribute (full service) – we control our own supply chain from start to finish. THE ROLE:

Currently seeking to fill an Hourly Sanitation General Labourer that reports to the Sanitation Manager at our Burlington, ON location. Sanitation General Labourer is responsible for completing all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner at various locations through the production department.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Some of the day-to-day tasks involve (but not limited to):

· Take apart various areas of the production line

· Clean, sanitize and wash down all parts of the production line using air, high pressure water, foamers and various chemicals

· Clean floors, remove debris and garbage throughout the plant areas

· Ensure proper protective equipment (PPE) is always worn while working

· Follows all applicable Sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP’s)

· Follow all applicable occupational health and safety and food safety procedures

· Night shift with a continental rotation

WHAT YOU BRING TO IPPOLITO:

· High school diploma an asset

· Previous experience in production like facility, preferably in a food industry

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Good hand eye co-ordination

· Knowledge of food industry is desirable
