Reporting to the Safety and Training Supervisor, the Safety and Training Process Administrator (STPA) provides a high level of administrative support to the NRS Safety and Training Department and Management Team. This includes word processing, photocopying, faxing and filing. This position also prepares, reviews, circulates and distributes the Standard Operating Procedures and schedules meetings with relevant departments to review their SOP’s. Additional duties include m anaging and monitoring SharePoint for documents coming due for review and scheduling meetings to have the plans reviewed, amended and uploaded within the prescribed time deadline.

The ideal candidate is College graduate with a Diploma in Administration. Some exposure to the mining industry is an asset. Excellent communication, organizational, & time management skills are essential. Strong knowledge of the Microsoft suite software, particularly with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.

The incumbent spends the majority of time working in an office environment and has some exposure to the operations. The incumbent is required to meet tight schedules and deadlines on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Irregular hours are often required to complete projects. Traveling to different sites may also be required.
