Research Assistant

The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University is dedicated to the expert application and teaching of epidemiological and health services research methods, and to the discovery of new research to improve population health.

The Research Assistant will apply their experience and knowledge to a research project under the direction of Principal Investigators (PIs). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Qualifications

Education:

• MSc in Biostatistics is required.

Experience:

• Experience in independently conducting statistical analyses and/or processing of accelerometer data.
• Experience in preparing and publishing scientific manuscripts.
• Experience in R statistical software.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge and background in biostatistics.
• Familiarity and/or working understanding of curve registration methods and functional data analysis.

• Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve research goals.
• Advanced skills in software and applications used to produce and analyze research outcomes (e.g., R).
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
