Job Title: Research Analyst

On behalf of our client from the SR&ED funding and consulting industry, we are seeking a research analyst to join our Vancouver team. This position is responsible for preparing technical reports to support research and development grant applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Establish a comprehensive understanding of clients’ R&D projects.
• Work closely with our clients, gather and analyze technical and product/project information to document product functionality.
• Prepare technical reports with the engineering and technology of the R&D projects summarized in a variety of fields.
• Assist with preparation of the technical review.
• Participate in review meetings with clients if needed.
• Collaborate with Technical Project Managers to create a streamlined workflow.
• Review and critique business process documentation.
• Work independently and as a part of a much larger technical team.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of Master’s degree in Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Fluent in both English and Chinese in business communication.
• Previous experience in writing complex technical documentation is preferred.
• Comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with information architecture, markup languages, source version control, problem reporting, and continuous integration.
• Superior communication skills including speaking, writing, and listening.
• Nice to have knowledge about tax incentive programs in scientific research and experimental development
• Expertise in content discovery and best practices for research is a strong asset.
