Our Reliability Program Planner (RPP) is responsible for interpreting and implementing reliability recommendations for maintenance significant assets and other routine cyclical maintenance activities into executable SAP maintenance programs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • This role is a hybrid role that combines skill sets from both Maintenance and Reliability roles
  • Diploma or Degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent technical/ operational experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in Oil & Gas or similar industrial environment
  • On-site industrial experience in a technical or operational role is preferred, ideally as a planner, scheduler or reliability engineer
  • In-depth knowledge of Suncor policies, standards, practices, and procedures related to Maintenance, Reliability, Management of Change, and Continuous Improvement is strongly preferred
  • Familiarization with the Terra Nova FPSO would be an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Creation of preventive maintenance (PM’s) programs to ensure comprehensive work order generation - includes maintenance strategy, maintenance items/plans/task lists and related foundational SAP system elements
  • Integrate maintenance outputs from asset strategies to requirements of Maintenance, Operations, and material logistics (Link maintenance procedures and check sheets to the PM programs (Task Lists) in SAP)
  • Provide program forecast for trade hours per craft and optimize future resource loading
  • The RPP will use a strong working knowledge of master data, SAP maintenance programs, reliability methodologies, engineering documentation, and best practices in Maintenance and Reliability to identify and Champion improvement opportunities
  • The RPP is also responsible for maintaining M&R relevant master data to support the equipment strategy
  • Communicate openly with the Maintenance Planning & Scheduling and Reliability leaders and raise any issues or concerns
  • Work with Maintenance Planning & Scheduling, Operations, Reliability, and Maintenance Execution to improve maintenance programs
  • Provide feedback to Reliability to improve effectiveness of maintenance strategies and tactics
  • Assure implementation of PM programs in alignment with the maintenance mid-range and long-range schedule and/or Major Events Calendar to assure PM schedule alignment and efficiencies
  • Manage program order deferrals / cancellations in collaboration with Planning and Cross Functional Team

Location and other Key Details:

  • This is an onshore position based in the St. John’s office, but will require periodic travel offshore
  • The shift schedule is 8hrs day, 5 days a week
  • Qualified residents of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador will be given first consideration in the staffing of this position
