Position Summary

Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) acts as a referral centre to three community hospitals and one diagnostic centre in the South Okanagan and includes a regional population of 85,000. We have a relief part time (0.61 FTE) opportunity in our very busy 28 bed surgical unit providing pre and post-surgical nursing care for orthopaedics, urology and general surgery patients. There is lots of interaction with Allied health OT/PT/SW/Pharmacy and the Transition Liaison RN. This relief is until October 25, 2022 or return of the incumbent.

If you have recent experience in a surgical inpatient unit and enjoy working in a collaborative inter-professional team environment, this is a great place to build and expand on your nursing skills.

Registered Nurses may work Days (07:00 to 19:00) or Nights (19:00 to 07:00). If you are an adaptable team player, with great clinical and critical thinking skills; then this unit will give you an exceptional professional environment and opportunity to further develop your nursing experience.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Previous surgical nursing experience would be considered an asset.
