JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties:
- Plans and organizes the implementation of Power Smart programs by performing duties such as:
Marketing and Power Smart department staff; organizing staff and resources; researching
vendors, acquiring quotes, samples, proofs; identifying sustainable options within promotional
materials; preparing and evaluating responses to Requests for Proposals for external consultants/
contractors and vendors; monitoring contract terms and conditions; ordering promotional items;
and approving program-related invoices for managerial sign-off to approved levels.
- Determines program evaluation, data capture, downloading, and related reporting requirements.
follows up to resolve delivery and other problems. Liaises with marketing, technical and Power
Smart stakeholders to monitor, review and resolve tracking, reporting, technical and escalated
customer care issues.
- Provides administrative, tracking and reporting support for department and Power Smart
program delivery results to management and various related departments throughout the
organization. Prepares public information records, budgetary, productivity and statistical reports.
Prepares written reports, tracking reports and status updates.
- Manages department and Power Smart program administrative systems such as Activity
inventory control systems. Co-ordinates technical aspects and enhancements through application
development staff including testing and implementation of new and revised system components.
- Troubleshoots and ensures problems are resolved in a timely fashion and that systems meet
resource requirements.
- Represents BC Hydro as a spokesperson by participating in media interviews, and develops
research and gathering information through liaison with cross-functional groups within BC Hydro.
Responds to public queries by providing answers, guidance and interpretation of information.
Keeps corporate communications apprised of any potential issues that may escalate to senior
management and contributes to the development of mitigation strategies by performing duties
such as preparing preliminary informational summaries.
- Prepares budgetary input for project consultation and communication plans including

developed oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills, and analytical skills.
Leadership experience will be considered an asset.

Flexible work model role definitions
===========================
Our four role types identify the degree of flexibility an employee could have to work from home
based on the type of work they do. The flexibility for an individual job is up to the manager for
each position and the operational requirements. Employees also have the right to work full-time
from the office if they prefer. All of our roles require at least some in-person time.
IBEW/Field – No option to work from home
Resident – Works primarily (4+ days per week) in the office.
Hybrid – May be able to work from home up to 3 days per week.
Remote – Works from home 4+ days per week
